As many of you know, I work at a summer camp in upstate New York called Camp Seneca Lake (CSL). This evening, during staff orientation, CSL put on a charity mud run for all of the staff. We were split into teams and each told to pick a charity. Then, during the run, we were given golf balls as we ran and did other exercises throughout the run. At the end of the run, whoever had the most golf balls in their bucket won. I was so blessed to have so many people believe in my cause. Because of the support of all of my fellow staff members and their belief that Texas 4000 was such a great and meaningful organization, almost all of the teams ended up dumping their bucket of golf balls into the Texas 4000 bucket. As a result of this effort and generosity, CSL is now going to donate $1,080 to Texas 4000 for Cancer. Not only am I speechless that Texas 4000 will receive this check, but I am so happy that I was able to spend the evening running with my friends for a great cause.
